SOMEWHERE NICE

Somewhere Nice is a short film and live performance produced by Louis Schou-Hansen and Harald Beharie, commissioned by Sandefjord Kunstforening in the context of being nominated for their art prize in 2023.

Somewhere Nice is a strange little family, a mashup of sensual moving sculptures, fantasies of queer renaissance paintings, and cruisy patterns with subtle traces of unfixed desires. It is a porous exercise in interpersonal sensibilities, intimacies, and non-verbal languages. In this sense, the work can be considered a continuation of Harald and Louis’ shared practice, based on building local, non-verbal communities, exploring queer genealogies and their temporal connotations.

This work has been carved out through an intimate meeting with Arne Skalleberg and Rune Atle Berg Johansen and their generous contributions.
